Formal complaint submitted to Fetch

ScanTract sent a written complaint asking Fetch to explain the changes affecting retail-purchased Gen 3 devices and received a support-ticket acknowledgement. A substantive reply is still pending.

On 28 October 2026, ScanTract contacted Fetch in writing to raise a formal complaint about the conditions attached to continued Fetch service on privately purchased Gen 3 hardware.

We asked Fetch to identify the relevant purchase terms and sales representations, explain exactly which functions could stop working, clarify what would happen to existing recordings and describe what alternatives or remedies might be available to affected retail customers.

Our written complaint also questioned the difference between retail-purchased devices and devices supplied through participating internet service providers.

Fetch issued a support-ticket acknowledgement. That confirms the complaint reached its support process, but it is not a substantive answer to the issues raised.

We are awaiting Fetch’s written response. We will assess any reply against the original questions and publish an accurate summary of the next developments.

ScanTract reports its own actions separately from any company or regulator decision. Information may change as further evidence becomes available.
